Connected Communities Procurement and Implementation Guidance

Publish Date

These Connected Communities Procurement and Implementation Guidance infographics are a result of a collaborative effort between CISA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk and Resilience Policy as part of a continued effort to ensure state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) government officials possess resources to mitigate risks in their supply chains when procuring smart and connected technologies. The guidance is illustrated by two infographics. The first provides a list of questions local leaders can use to define their purpose and objectives and help ensure vendors will provide products and services that support existing policies for data protection and privacy as well as operational risk management. The second infographic provides a list of questions local leaders can use to help ensure vendors will provide products and services that support existing policies for cybersecurity, incident response, data protection and privacy, and supply chain risk management.
