Atlanta, Georgia – August 23-28, 2009

Members of the working media and industry analysts are welcome to attend the 5th Annual GFIRST National Conference.  Each representative from media, including photographers, will need credentials to conduct business at the GFIRST Conference.

The GFIRST organizers want to make attendance as productive as possible. The GFIRST Conference communications support team will work closely with the media to ensure timely access to materials and events during the Conference.

All requests must be submitted no later than August 24, 2009.

If you have any questions or need additional information prior to the Conference, please contact the GFIRST Conference communications team via e-mail at: gfirst@us-cert.gov.

Registration Criteria

Members of the working media and industry analysts will be required to present appropriate identification at registration onsite at the GFIRST Conference in order to receive press accreditation for the conference. Submitting the registration request does not automatically qualify applicants for a valid accreditation. Only journalists with proper identification will have access to conference events, activities and facilities.

The following three groups are eligible for media badges:

  • Staff Journalists from News-Gathering Organizations: Please be prepared to submit any of the following: copy of a valid Press Credential, a copy of the journalist/photojournalist business card, a copy of current masthead clearly displaying your name and editorial title, or an industry-related article written by you within the last six months.

  • Analysts: Please provide a business card. We reserve the right to limit the press attendance from individual organizations based on space limitations.

  • Please note that the following groups are not eligible for media badges:

    • Production companies
    • Marketing and public relations professionals

Media Credentials Distribution

Members of the media who have pre-registered can pick up their credentials as soon as they arrive at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center. Credentials will be available for pick-up at the GFIRST Registration Desk during Conference registration hours, beginning August 23, 2009, at 8:00am.
