ICSJWG 2012 Spring Conference – Savannah, GA, May 7-10, 2012

The Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) 2012 Spring Conference will be held on May 7 - 10, 2012, in Savannah, Georgia, USA at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. This event will provide control systems stakeholders from industry, government, academia, international, vendor, and research and development communities with an opportunity to network and engage in discussions related to securing control systems.
The ICSJWG Conference will consist of panel discussions, presentations, and training on various topics such as responsible disclosure, standards development, threat and incident reporting, analysis tools and techniques, roadmap development initiatives, vulnerability management, research and development, and information sharing. Subgroup meetings will allow participants to discuss in depth the current status of subgroup activities and report accomplishments to the community.
An 8-hour Introduction to Control Systems Cybersecurity training course will also be offered on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the conference site. Attendance at the conference is not required to attend the training.
There is no cost to attend the ICSJWG conference and training.

Audience
The ICSJWG Conference is open to all who are interested in learning more about cybersecurity issues facing critical infrastructure control systems. The conference is an excellent resource for government professionals (federal, state, local, tribal, and international); control systems vendors and systems integrators; research, development, and academic professionals; and owners and operators (management, engineering, production, and IT) to discuss the latest initiatives impacting the security of industrial control systems and interact with colleagues and peers who may be addressing the risks of threats and vulnerabilities to their systems.
Training
The training offered at the ICSJWG 2012 Spring Conference is a fast-paced course covering control systems cybersecurity challenges. Attendance at the conference is not a prerequisite for training on May 10, 2012. You may register for training online.
Training objectives consist of helping participants understand the importance of securing control systems, how attacks against control systems can be launched, and providing mitigation strategies. Participants will gain an understanding of how to improve the cybersecurity posture of their control system networks. Specific topics include:

- Industrial Control Systems Applications
- Current State of Cybersecurity in Industrial Control Systems
- Practical Applications of Cybersecurity

Travel
Travel, accommodations, meals, beverages, and any other expenses are the responsibility of conference participants and will NOT be covered by the ICSJWG or CSSP. Participants are also responsible for booking their own rooms at the conference hotel or in the nearby area.
