Samuel T. Redwine

An associate professor at James Madison University, Sam Redwine has had an extensive career of practice, scholarship, and research in the fields of software engineering and software security. He was the general chair for the 2006 International Symposium on Secure Software Engineering, chairs the DHS/DoD Software Assurance Working Group on Workforce Education and Training, and is a key member of the Object Management SIG on Software Assurance and the NDIA System Assurance Committee.

At JMU, Redwine helped found the Secure Software Engineering masters program. In addition to experience as a practitioner and consultant, he has worked at the Software Productivity Consortium, the Institute for Defense Analyses, and The MITRE Corporation. He has also been an adjunct professor at Virginia Tech and George Mason University and a visiting scientist at the SEI. He has BS and MS degrees from MIT.
