Valori Nicolai, IT management consultant, is a pioneer in information technology (IT) and program management.
Nicolai has worked in a number of emerging IT technology areas and managed a major global program to build and deploy the first commercial application of an IT data telecommunications network for a Fortune One company, overseeing its implementation into 20 countries. While doing this, she developed and put into practice a number of program management functions, still in use today as standard requirements in formal program management education. She also developed a Collaborative Product Development discipline for a Big Four consulting firm and managed the program to develop an emerging technology in supply chain event management for a leading aerospace technology firm. Working with non-profit organizations, including Michigan Council of Women in Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Center for Cyber Security and Intelligence Studies (CCSIS), a University of Detroit Mercy program, she oversaw fundraising programs and managed IT analysis projects to support organizational planning. Additionally, she has provided business build oversight to web startup companies.
