Job description:
  • Preparing and reviewing reports that are sent to senior government and industry officials for accurate situational awareness.
  • Coordinating, integrating, and providing status on routine and urgent operations and requirements and giving advice to management and industry members on telecommunications policy, information sharing, or issues that have the potential to affect the telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Conducting National Communications Coordination (NCC) watch activities during crisis event.
  • Coordinating with National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) organizations, DHS National Operations Center (NOC), National Infrastructure, Coordinating Center (NICC), FEMA national and regional Operations Centers (NRCC, RRCC), other federal government departments and agencies, the White House, COMM-ISAC, and other Emergency Operations Centers as events require.
  • Reviewing, publishing and posting all recurring and event specific reports, briefings and analytic products ensuring proprietary and sensitive data is sanitized and correct government and industry distribution list are used, corrected and maintained.
  • Assisting in developing, interpreting and modifying standing operating procedures (SOPs), department/national policy and other departmental or agency directives in the day to day oversight of the 24x7 NCC Watch.
